Grade 4A have been practicing the routines that they will be doing during Wit and Wisdom this year. Here they are performing a tableau depicting parts of the story 'Thank You, Mr. Falker.' It was a bit more challenging with masks and distancing, but they still had a lot of fun and did a great job!

As a first assignment for the year, the high school art students are working with portrait drawing. They are creating different types of self-portraits, in various techniques on huge papers. When we are done with this, the 3D-students will move on to three-dimensional portraits in clay, and our Drawing/Painting class will continue with acrylic paint. The students have been working hard and it is very nice to be back in the classroom.
Due to the sudden end of the last academic year, many works were left behind in the art room. If anyone would like to pick up their work, they can so until Friday, August 21st. Everything is exhibited in the red sala. After Friday, they will be donated to offices and classrooms.

This week, grade 9 students prepared to read literature focused on identity by completing a “chalk talk” activity. Known as a silent discussion, students activate background knowledge on a topic by writing down their related ideas. They then can respond to each other’s thoughts, getting them thinking before reading.
