Bullying

Bullying is intentional, repetitive, intimidating, harmful, offensive or malicious behavior targeting a person or group.  Reasons may include, but are not limited to: appearance, race, gender, religion, abilities, orientation, or family background.  Bullying is intended to ridicule, humiliate, intimidate, or harm others.  It may be violent or nonviolent, verbal or nonverbal behavior which undermines the confidence and self-esteem of a person or group and causes fear, distress, and harm. Bullying is wrong. There are no exceptions to this.

CMIS protects the right of all students to be safe and comfortable within the school environment.  Bullying behaviors reported between students outside the school campus will be considered as being within the school’s jurisdiction to the extent that such behaviors affect students at  school.

Students who witness or hear about bullying behaviors should:

  • Report the incident to a staff member or directly to the school counselor, nurse, or principal.
  • Use the email account <bullying@cmis.ac.th> to report bullying incidents monitored by the school counselor.
