Acceptance into CMIS is very competitive. The primary conditions for acceptance are academic eligibility, English-language proficiency, and exemplary behavior.
Our academic year is divided into two semesters, spanning from August to December and January to early June.
Please note that we currently do not offer short courses, summer camps, or winter camps for external students.
All applicants must have passed their required birth date by August.

CMIS is now welcoming applications for Preschool, Kindergarten, and Grade 1 for the 2025-2026 academic year, which begins in August 2025.
The application deadline is December 31, 2024.

Application Timeline:
- 1. For August Start (1st Semester, Fall Semester): Prospective families are requested to submit completed applications and the required documents during November and December. The assessment schedule will be arranged around February to March. Please email us to inquire about the possibility of application at admissions@cmis.ac.th. Please note that the assessment schedule may be adjusted depending on school activities.
- 2. For January Start (2nd Semester, Spring Semester): The application process begins in September to October, subject to availability. Please email us to inquire about the possibility of application at admissions@cmis.ac.th.
- Our team will collect all necessary documents and review the application.
- Families are not required to pay the application fee at the beginning of the process. If we are able to offer you a place, you will be contacted for scheduling testing and requested to pay a non-refundable application fee of 5,000 THB.
Application Process
Step 1: Apply, including all required documents, by completing and uploading all required documents.
Step 2: Once the application and documents have been submitted, the student file will be reviewed and processed.
Step 3: The Admissions Team will contact the family to schedule an appointment for the assessments. You will be requested to pay the non-refundable application fee of 5,000 THB.
Step 4: Upon completing the assessments, the applicant’s file will be reviewed by the CMIS Admissions Team. If the applicant meets the CMIS criteria, an acceptance letter will be sent to the family. If the applicant does not meet the CMIS criteria, a letter will be sent to the family to inform them of the decision.

CMIS strives to maintain a balanced international environment where English is the language of instruction. We welcome applications from international students who:
- Qualify academically (as determined by school records and standardized entrance assessment results),
- Meet the required English-language proficiency expectations for their grade level (as determined by CMIS guidelines).
We accept a limited number of academically qualified non-native English speakers, provided that their English-language proficiency falls within the CMIS guidelines for English Language Development (ELD) and there is space available.
We have limited availability for students with mild learning disabilities (as determined by previous school records, standardized testing, and documentation such as an IEP, school support plan or professional diagnosis) provided their disability falls within the CMIS guidelines for learning support and there is space available.

The following required application documents must be submitted before the entrance assessments can be scheduled.
- Completed online application for admission, including an electronic signature
- Recent passport-size photograph (head shot)
- Copy of the applicant’s birth certificate
- Copy of the applicant’s passport photo page (or Thai ID card)
- Copies of the parents’ passports photo pages (or Thai ID cards)
- For Students Living with Guardians:
- Letter of guardianship
- Copies of the guardian’s passport photo page (or Thai ID card)
- One letter of recommendation via the CMIS online application system
- This should be completed by the applicants current teacher or academic counselor
- Academic records in English, as follows:
- Preschool to Kindergarten: all available Preschool and Kindergarten progress reports, as applicable
- Grades 1 to 8: report cards for the current year and the last two previous years
- Grades 9 to 12: complete and official high school transcripts, including report cards with teacher’s comments for the previous two years
- Home-schooled Applicants: a detailed curriculum document with grades for the home schooling time period. Standardized test scores may also be required.
- Completed Health Form, a copy of the applicant’s immunization records, along with any pertinent health records, to be entered into the appropriate online form.
Applications may be submitted at any time throughout the year. New applications will be reviewed and processed as follows:
- Preschool: CMIS accepts applications year round. Preschool assessments will be scheduled starting in March.
- Kindergarten and Grade 1: CMIS accepts applications year round.
- Grades 2 – 12: CMIS accepts applications year round.
Open Enrollment: CMIS accepts applications for Elementary School (Preschool through Grade 5) and Middle School (Grades 6 - 8) and High School (Grades 9 - 12) throughout the year as long as space is available. All applicants must pass their required birth date by the start of school in August to be considered for that year’s enrollment. This standard remains the same for those who wish to join in the second semester.
Closed Semester Enrollment: CMIS has a closed semester policy for Grade 12. The intake of new students in Grade 12 occurs only twice a year, at the beginning of the Fall Semester in August and the Spring Semester in January.
Exceptions: In some cases, mid-semester High School applicants may be enrolled in an auditing status for the remainder of the current semester and then allowed to take courses for credit at the beginning of the next semester.
CMIS strives to keep class sizes small in order to provide individualized and differentiated instruction needed to help each student succeed. Although we expect to have vacancies at each grade level, we reserve spaces for qualified priority applicants.
The CMIS Priority Categories are as follows:
- Christian Missionary families
- CMIS Staff children
- Diplomatic / Consular families
- Former CMIS families who are returning from abroad
- NGO / Non-profit organization families
- Siblings of current CMIS students
All other applicants are considered on a space-available basis.
