CMIS features photos and videos in our CMIS Gallery and on our CMIS Social Media Platforms. Below are some recent highlights.
God help me to weave a tapestry of love and not hate in my children, a spirit of tolerance and caring, and a dedication to freedom for all and not just some. God help me to sow seeds of peace and justice in my children’s hearts today. Amen.

On Friday, CMIS hosted the 2021-2022 NHS Induction Ceremony. A lot of hard work went into organizing this prestigious event and it went so well. It was such an honor! We give a special and extra warm welcome to the 10 new inductees. We are so proud of you!

We (Interact Club) are doing our annual clothing drive starting this week on Monday! This year, we're working with the Chiang Mai Rotary Club to provide warm clothing for the children in the hill tribes of Chiang Mai. The weather up in the mountains gets really cold in the winter season, so it would be extremely helpful if we can provide some extra clothing for the children to prevent them from getting sick. This year, we're aiming to raise 400 pieces of clothing for the drive, so get rid of some of your old clothes and help out the ones in need! It's a win-win situation!

In Senior Seminar last week, Grade 12 students had the opportunity to learn a little bit about car maintenance and repair. They not only learned how to change a flat tire but also how to jump start a battery and how to check the level of oil in the car engine. So if you see Mr. Rob's car on the side of the road with no tire, you know why!
- Mr. Rob Johnson
The wooden playground structure has re-opened for students to enjoy during all breaks. The students, young and old, have loved having another area to play with friends.
Hello CMIS community! We are starting a startup company in our business class 21-22. Hydrate is producing a water bottle that will be launched soon! Students in the Elementary School were selected by their teachers for demonstrating the monthly attribute of flexibility and celebrated with an ice cream party. Every month we focus on a different attribute that is connected to our CMIS Student Learner Outcomes.

CMIS Sculpture: Cardboard Masks
.
Sculpture students are exploring cardboard as a medium to create 3D masks. Students planned their 3D masks in 2D in their sketchbooks while learning online and have begun gluing their creations together in the classroom using hot glue guns. Each mask is conceptually unique while students are exploring protection, disguise, performance and entertainment purposes.
- Mr. Will
We read banned books!
Students have been enjoying the ASAs and the athletics program offered this semester. If your child is interested in joining an after school activity, you are still welcome to register by contacting the athletic office.
The kiddos in Grade 1A had a great week; they finished their Focus Question Task in ELA, impressed Mr. Carl and Ms. Parn with how independent they are and showed great responsibility in the classroom since returning to school. We decided to have 'Friyay' and went out to play Sharks and Minnows 10 mins before recess!
- Mr. Carl
Over 200 middle and high school students were able to get their first Pfizer vaccine on Thursday! We are so thankful to the Thai Government and the Chiang Mai Municipality for providing our students this opportunity.
