With in-person learning starting this week, what are you going to be this year? - Mr. Cameron

CMIS has made an investment in the future education of your student by purchasing the online platform Unifrog for high school students (currently available to Grade 11 and 12 students only but by the end of the year, all high school students will have access).
.
Unifrog is a one-stop-shop where students can explore their interests and then find and successfully apply for their best next-steps after school (go to www.unifrog.org for more information). Seniors have been using this online platform regularly in Senior Seminar class already this year as they've learned more about their interests, strengths, skills, the university search process, personal statements, resumes, etc.
- Mr. Rob

Students are enjoying being on campus and getting to connect with friends and classmates in person. Recess is a great time to chat, eat snacks, and play!

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; taking this world as it is and not as I would have it; trusting that You will make all things right.
− Reinhold Niebuhr

In AP Calculus, students used the analogy of a gum-filled lollipop to learn how to take derivatives using the Chain Rule. You wouldn't eat a lollipop with a wrapper on and you can't get to the gum center without going through the candy layer! Analogies are so helpful in remembering the steps needed to solve math problems.
- Ms. Mark

One of CMIS' talented student athletes in grade 9 received the 1st prize of Top Amateur in the Women's Pro-Golf program from Muang Thai Insurance. The 6th Thai LPGA Championship 2021 was held during September 29 - October 1 at Springfield Golf Club in Phetchaburi, Thailand.

In computer class, the grade 7 students simulated being programmers and computers. The "programmer" described a hidden image and the "computer" had to draw the image onto a grid. This activity was an introduction to our Interactive Programming and Games unit and demonstrated the challenges programmers face when having a computer draw. - Ms. Renee
