National History Day has begun in Middle School!
National History Day, or NHD, puts students in charge of their own learning. Each year, students are given a different theme to connect with - the theme this year is "Communication in History: The Key to Understanding." Topics chosen this year include Muhammad Ali Protesting the Vietnam War, Koko the gorilla learns sign language, World War 2 Allied Propaganda, and Navajo Code Talkers.
Be sure to ask your favorite middle schoolers what they've chosen to study this year and how it fits with the theme!
