Congratulations to our Grade 10 student who received the highest award-Platinum Award for Grade 8 Category from BIPAC (Bangkok International Performance Art Competition). We are so proud of your achievement!Today is World Mental Health Day. The counseling team wants to remind you that not just today, but everyday - YOU MATTER!
.
Take the time you need to do what makes you happy, and always know, there are people out there that care. Please reach out, you are not alone! Be gentle with yourself today and always.
- Counselor TeamStuCo has been bringing the community together for Friday lunch activities. Both students and staff are getting into the school spirit and enjoying the FUN! Let's go Eagles!PST conferences were a success! Thank you to the many families who were available to meet both in person and online, for student translators who assisted with communication between teachers and families, and for all of the hard work teachers put into preparing for these conferences. It is wonderful seeing the team of parents, students, and teachers come together!Ms. Aon, the academic coordinator, participated in the CIS-EARCOS Conference in Bangkok. It was a two-day professional development workshop with 40+ topics and networking opportunities for university admissions and school guidance counselors from all over the world.
.
She has returned to CMIS with information to assist our students for university admissions. High school students can visit Ms. Aon's office anytime for university admissions plans and information.
- Ms. AonStudents in grade 1 are now learning about the weather in Science. This includes discovering who meteorologists are, using symbols to record weather on a calendar, learning about temperature and how a thermometer works, and so much more. We are very happy to be able to take our learning outside and experience the weather all around us!
- Ms. RLast Friday, STUCO lead a donut-eating competition! Students were very excited about the food and there were some interesting eating techniques. In the midst of the excitement, a small arm wrestling competition occurred! The counseling team invited Aris (Luke) Sairattanyu, a CMIS alumni from the class of 2012, who studied at Berklee College of Music in Music Business and Music Production in Boston, to share his insights and experience with our current community. This was a great opportunity for those in attendance to learn more about college applications and what life in America is like for a student in a music program.
.
Aris currently owns a music label in Thailand and an entertainment company named ND Entertainment Co.,Ltd, specializing in Live Concerts and Arrangements and all types of music production work. He also does music licensing in China with Netease Corporation.
.
A big thank you to Aris for sharing his time and expertise with the CMIS community!
