CMIS features photos and videos in our CMIS Gallery and on our CMIS Social Media Platforms. Below are some recent highlights.

111 — On Tuesday, March 2, thirty CMIS students participated in the Model United Nations Conference hosted by Grace International School. The conference was held online so the CMIS students were set up in the auditorium. In Model United Nations, students assume the roles of delegates representing various countries in topical committees at the United Nations. The students must research the countries they represent and must be prepared to engage in debate and advocate for their country in committees and in a general assembly.
CMIS students performed very well in this conference and were recognized with the following awards:
- Best Delegation in UN Security Council Committee
- Delegates Choice in UN Security Council Committee
- Best Delegate in General Assembly
- Best Written Resolution
- Best New Delegate UN Economic and Social Committee
- Best Delegation in UN World Trade Organization Committee
- Delegates' Choice in UN World Trade Organization Committee
- Best Chair

111 — PLUB club was up early Sunday morning getting busy cleaning across the river from the Holiday Inn. This small swath of nature between the road and the river looks like it has been a dumping ground for years. Slowly but surely we are bringing it back to nature. Thanks to club members and students helping out and picking up service hours. Thanks to Ms. Colleen for coming out. Your support and spirit for the community is greatly appreciated. Our friend Khun Noy who lives across the street from the site came out to help again too! Thanks for helping us clean up Chiang Mai!

111 — Our first Focus Question Task in Wit & Wisdom was about how the wind is a powerful force. We gathered information from multiple sources to show evidence that wind is powerful. The kids got super attached to our sources about hurricanes. So, to celebrate the end of our first Focus Question Task, the students grouped together to make their own hurricanes out of pipe cleaners and cotton balls. After they created their model, they wrote facts about hurricanes on note cards and glued it to the edges of their poster.

High School Art has been busy with Art History for quite some time now. These pictures are samples from an assignment about deconstruction of famous artworks. The students learned how to translate paintings to grayscale, value drawing, and how to analyze and separate the colors used in the original painting.

Today we had an unannounced Fire Drill - neither the staff nor students were aware that it would happen, yet they all responded quickly and efficiently. We will continue to practice these drills throughout the year.

111 — On Sunday, March 7th, seven students from the CMIS Interact Club visited the BK KEE Patient House to host English lessons. The week's theme was "animals" and students had a lot of fun working with the patients. We can't wait for our next visit on March 21!

Students in Business Studies have successfully run a clothing apparel company called Wingz throughout this school year, as part of an international program and competition called the Junior Achievement Company of the Year program.
As part of the national competition, they will be submitting their Annual Report this weekend (and shareholders of company stock will receive a copy as well). Next weekend, we will participate in the competition event itself, giving a presentation of our company's story and an interview with judges who belong to the business and entrepreneurial community of Thailand. Wish them luck!
