Grade 5 concluded their investigation on Stars by visiting NARIT. While there, students were able to explore topics that were studied, such as the Sun's brightness, Earth's rotation, life span of stars, constellations, and much more. Students enjoyed the hands-on exhibits that brought the in-class learning to life and the planetarium that showed the night sky on a dome.

PLUB club took on the trash and the smoke on Sunday morning just across the river from the Holiday Inn. It was our first time at the site, and there was a great deal to take on. We barely made a dent, but it is a start! Thank you to Ms. Colleen and Mr. Marcus for joining us. Your choice to come out and help make this a cleaner place is extremely appreciated, and not just by PLUB. People stopped to say thank you, take photos, and even help lend a hand to clean!

Here, in these photos, students are working on determining the melting point of a particular chemical substance called "Salol" during 7th grade Science class. This is to find the point at which Salol crystallizes and determine if cooling it faster in an ice bath or cooling it slower at room temperature, brings larger or smaller crystals in the substance.

On Thursday, February 25th, the CMIS Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) collaborated with ZOE International to shine a light on modern-day slavery and child trafficking through the End It Movement. NHS members painted red X’s on their hands, handed out fliers, and set up a donation box in order to inform the CMIS community about the movement. Students and teachers walking past the informational booth were encouraged to paint red X’s in order to spread awareness around the campus as well.

Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences are going well this morning and everyone is enjoying coming together as a community.
If you haven't made it to school yet, there is still plenty of time to come by to meet the teachers. Go Eagles!
