Grade 6 students brought the science classroom outdoors! They were introduced to radiant energy by observing differential heating, one factor that contributes to weather. They investigated what happens to different earth materials (sand, soil, water, air) when placed in sunshine and then in shade. Curious as to what material heats up and cools off the fastest, they were determined to find the answer by collecting and analyzing data. Kudos to great teamwork, young scientists!

Out in the field with Earth and Space students! The class visited Ob Luang National Park and Thep Phanom Hot Spring where geological events are evident as different forces shape the earth's surface over time. The vigorously flowing rivers through a gigantic gorge was incredible but crossing the bridge on the other side of the cliff was an adventure. Well done, young explorers!
