Course Description

PreCalculus is a foundation class that explores key concepts that are more fully developed in Calculus. In this course, students study Functions and their graphs, Polynomial and Rational Functions, Trigonometry, Sequences, Series, Probability, analytic Geometry, and limits. PreCalculus is built on the Common Core Standards for Mathematics and lessons are crafted to develop a deep understanding of math concepts, as well as sharpen students' skill in the "doing" of math. The CMIS Philosophy of Math will shape the learning experience.
