Course Description

French 3 is designed to further develop French language skills while providing a more in depth insight into French idiomatic expressions and francophone cultures around the world.  Your four language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) will be developed in an integrated and contextualized way through in-class activities (projects, weekly discussions, improvised dialogues, presentations etc.) music, Internet activities, games, films etc.  You will be able to express yourself on topics and to understand content related to social life, news, cultural leisure and environment. You will be able to express and understand expressions of  possibility, necessity, doubt, hope, will as well as give elaborated points of view. By the end of the course you will be able to interact with fluency in most daily situations, you will be able to discuss ideas, concepts and make hypotheses within the familiar and, to some extent unfamiliar topics as well as produce written and oral paragraphs, prepared or spontaneous using level appropriate discursive tools.
