Karin Mekara

Karin Mekara was born and raised in Switzerland, where she spent her early childhood. In her teenage years, her family moved to Thailand, and Chiang Mai became her new home. Her passion for music guided her to Chicago, IL, in the USA, where she attended Roosevelt University to study music education. After finishing her degree, she returned to Thailand and became an active member in the Chiang Mai Symphony Orchestra (CPO) where she participates in regular performances. In 2014, Karin Mekara joined CMIS as the Primary Music Teacher, teaching classes from Pre-K up to Grade 5.
