CMIS hosted the 2021-2022 New Family Orientation virtually on Wednesday, August 11. It was a great morning and included a whole group meeting as well as separate divisional time. CMIS faculty enjoyed meeting the many new families joining us this year. We are excited to welcome our new members into the CMIS community!

This morning, CMIS hosted the first Coffee Morning. This is an opportunity for parents, staff, and administration to connect and dialogue. There were roughly 55 community members in attendance today and we look forward to having more families join the next meeting. Thank you to all who joined today and asked questions and shared feedback.

As the new elementary school counselor, I have been making online classroom visits all week to say hi and find out more about each and every student. In each session, I ask them to share with me who they are, where they are from, something they like doing for fun and to extend an extra warm welcome to the new students this year! It has been so lovely meeting them! I also appreciate the teacher's time for allowing me the space to do these visits.

It has been a great first week of school! This week has included time spent on building classroom communities while also reviewing old knowledge and being introduced to new topics of study. We are thankful to our wonderful CMIS community for coming together and making online learning work so well!
