Theatre Production and Performance is a full year class, divided into two, distinct, semester-long modules that focus on different aspects of the discipline. Semester one offers training in classical theatre. Students will learn analytical practices and performance techniques for dramatic works from antiquity to the 20th century, and more. Semester two looks at theatre production: what happens backstage. The course covers technical theatre, design, directing, and stage management. Students may elect to sign onto one or both semesters. Participation in the extracurricular plays is encouraged, but not required.
