AP Physics 1 and 2 courses focus on the big ideas typically included in the first and second semesters of an algebra-based, introductory college-level physics sequence. Through inquiry-based learning, students will develop critical thinking and reasoning skills. In AP Physics 1 explores the following topics: Kinematics; Dynamics; Circular motion and universal law of gravitation; Simple harmonic motion; Impulse, linear momentum, and conservation of linear momentum; Work, energy, and conservation of energy; Rotational motion; Electrostatics; DC circuits; Mechanical waves and sound.
