CMIS features photos and videos in our CMIS Gallery and on our CMIS Social Media Platforms. Below are some recent highlights.
Chiang Mai Northstars intensive boys basketball camp sign ups are now open. First session is this Saturday, May 7th from 2:00-4:00 PM. See the poster for details.Students in 4B designed and decorated their own reusable cloth bags today. This was a follow up activity after a social studies project that looked at the damage single-use plastics have on our environment. What a great way to say NO to single-use plastic!
- Ms. NikitaOn Friday, 3A enjoyed some delicious Duke's Pizza and soft drinks provided by NHS/Interact. The pizza party was the reward to 3A for donating so many instant noodles for the last school-wide food drive. Thank you NHS & Interact for the wonderful treat!!
- Ms. YunaeAs a celebration of finishing our Science unit on Air and Wind, 1B students had the opportunity to share their paper airplane design processes with the class. We were able to test the various models outside and explore how they can soar in different ways.
- Ms. RAfter a bit of a delay due to students being off campus, some tie breakers that needed to be settled and the ordering of some extra medals, we were finally able to award ALL of our CMIS March Mammal Madness winners!!! We handed out CMIS Champion trophies to two HS students who tied for the top spot, as well as 5 MS students who all tied for the top of their division. Each grade level, 6, 7, and 8, as well as the HS also had medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. With 186 total participants, these students should all be happy to have done well enough to place in the top 3 for their grade or division! Well done CMIS students and faculty!!!
- Dr. TroyCongratulations to the Varsity and JV Volleyball teams on competing in the CMAC tournaments. Varsity finished in 3rd place, taking home a bronze medal and Junior Varsity finished in 4th place. Both teams battled hard throughout the long day of competition. All the players should be very proud of how they persevered this season. I am so thankful for the last few months of working with each of you in the gym and am already excited for next season!
-Coach SydneyThe boys played great and ended up 2nd place out of 8 teams.
