On Tuesday, May 16th, the National Honor Society (NHS) held its 8th Annual Induction Ceremony. Eight new inductees were welcomed into our chapter. It was lovely to have some parents join us for this celebration. Congratulations new inductees, we cannot wait to see what you bring to our NHS team!

StuCo went on an end of the year retreat to celebrate a successful year of community events. While we spent the morning reflecting on the year, it was great to spend the afternoon playing monkey in the middle in the pool!

Our Grade 5 students and parents had the opportunity to hear about the transition to Middle School when Dr. Troy, the Middle School Principal, and Ms. Chestnut, the Middle School Counselor, arranged a morning meeting to help students better understand the differences between MS and ES. The Grade 5 students were taken on tours by MS Ambassadors while the parents were given key information about MS, as well as provided time to ask questions about the MS. The final panel discussion gave students and parents one last chance to ask 4 MS Students about their thoughts. It was a great success and we look forward to welcoming the G5 class to our CMIS MS in the fall!

The CMIS Health Center hosted an EFR-CPR and First Aid Training with AED for CMIS teachers and students. The instructor, Mr.Scott H. van Doren is from First Aid Training Bangkok Co.Ltd. All participants received a two-year internationally recognized certificate.
.
First aid is an important tool in quickly responding to accidents to ensure that injuries can be efficiently and promptly dealt with before a trained medical professional arrives to administer more specialized treatment. The Health Center believes that knowledge of first aid promotes a safer and healthier environment among the CMIS community.
