📣 Reminder: No School Tomorrow 📅 In observance of Father's Day, there will be no school on Tuesday, December 5. Enjoy your day off, and we'll see you back at school soon! 🕊️🏫
Members of the illustrious student-led community service club 'Now or Never' took to the streets of Chiang Mai to pick up rubbish, interact with locals, and support the community. They managed to collect several bags of trash and recycling and had fun doing so. Go Eagles!
- Mr. Jeremy
Pre-K4 has wrapped up their November theme on Trees with a fantastic tree-rubbing activity! The students did an exceptional job, showcasing their listening skills. Well done, everyone!
- Ms. Denise
Ms. Joyce Jenkins, a CMIS alumna, recently paid a visit to her old school. She fondly recalled her time at CCC (as it was then called) from elementary school to grade 5. She had the pleasure of browsing through old yearbooks and reminiscing about her favorite memories. She even revisited her favorite spot on campus, where she spent countless hours with friends.
.
It was heartwarming to see Ms. Jenkins reconnect with her past and cherish the fond memories she made at CMIS. Her visit serves as a reminder of the enduring impact that schools can have on their students.
During the Loy Krathong festival, our Elementary (ES), Middle (MS), and High School (HS) students celebrate together to create a magical atmosphere filled with lanterns and Krathongs. This creative and collaborative activity was created to commemorate the beautiful Thai festival of Loy Krathong. Students in elementary school were taught about the craft of making Krathongs. Their Krathongs were carefully handmade and adorned with candles, flowers, and natural materials. Students in middle school showcased their artistic talents by making beautiful lanterns. The high school students tackled the task with precision, turning each Krathong into a work of art and tradition. Every Krathong was an authentic homage to the Thai custom of embracing positive energy and letting go of negativity. Our school community was united in a symphony of lanterns, Krathongs, and shared joy as we concluded our Loy Krathong activities. "Happy Loy Krathong"
- Thai Department
Last weekend, 16 of our High School students were invited to participate in a Loy Kratong event at the Three Kings Monument in the Old City of Chiang Mai. The students served the community in four languages (Korean, Chinese, Thai, and English) by handing out candles, teaching tourists and locals how to make lanterns, and giving general information to anyone who asked.
.
It was a privilege for our students to be invited to this event, and they put their "best foot forward" as they engaged with hundreds of tourists passing through the area. Our students represented the school magnificently, and we look forward to future opportunities to serve our wider community! Enjoy the photos of the event!
