CMISCourse Description
Grade 8 Science focuses on Heredity and Adaptation, Electromagnetic Force, Gravity and Kinetic Energy, and Waves. Through inquisitive and lab-based learning, students will engage in content from the three major scientific disciplines of chemical science, life science, and earth and space science. The purpose of this course is to introduce new scientific content and practices, as well as reconfirm and deepen knowledge of existing concepts. This course is aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards for Middle School and uses the “FOSS” curriculum.
