The CMIS counseling team and Health Center organized a hospital visit for students interested in Health Sciences at Bangkok Hospital in Chiang Mai during the April break. The students had the opportunity to visit various departments in the hospital such as the Oncology Clinic, Heart Center, Out-Patient Unit, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Otolaryngology, and medicine. Additionally, the students met the hospital director who shared experiences and knowledge of hospital management with the students. Thank you Bangkok Hospital for the warm welcome extended to our students.

Over the past few weeks, grade 4 music classes have prepared themselves for an in-class mini recital. In this project based learning activity, students were free to choose their own song, group and instrumentation. Some students have even composed their own songs! A lot of creativity and time went into this project and our mini recital was a way for celebrating everyone's accomplishment and creativity. Students also learned how to be a supportive audience and how we can all learn from each other. Well done, grade 4!

Last week, the Kindergarten classes went to the Elephant Poo Poo Paper Park in Mae Rim. Although it was a very hot morning, the students enjoyed learning about the paper making process. We saw how the elephant dung is soaked, washed, added to other materials and dyed to make colorful poo balls.
.
We then got our own poo balls to soak and make into a loose pulp. We then spread it out to make sheets of paper which could then be dried over the next couple of days.
.
Before we left the Paper Park we even got our own paper fans which we then stuck different paper designs on to make it look even more beautiful!
.
It was a wonderful morning spent learning about some of the ways that we can make paper!

The theme for the month of April for Pre K4 was Pets. On Friday 28th April, Dr. Am of Meechok Vet Clinic kindly offered to talk to the students about how to approach animals, what is safe/unsafe to feed animals, and how to take care of our animals.
.
We all had a super time and at the end of the demonstration, Pre K4 students gave Dr. Am and her team a plant.
