Our high school curriculum comprises grades 9 to 12 and includes instruction in the core subjects of English, mathematics, science, social studies, and world languages. CMIS high school also offers selected elective subjects in the areas of PE, health, art, computers, music, drama, and independent study projects. Our American, standards-based curriculum provides a college-preparatory education, suitable throughout the world, and offers students in Grades 10 to 12 the opportunity to undertake various first year college-level courses through the Advanced Placement (AP) program.
CMIS high school students are provided with Google Chromebooks and are given authentic opportunities to use technology in their core, content courses and electives.
High School Credits and Graduation Requirements
One credit is awarded for each one-semester course completed with a passing mark of D-. A minimum of 50 credits is required for graduation. (Students may transfer no more than 14 credits per year from another school.) Students in Grades 9 to 12 are also required to complete 60 hours of service learning over the course of their four years in high school.
The grading scale with the Grade Point Average (GPA) equivalents is as follows:

CMIS offers an “Honors Graduation Diploma” for students who successfully complete three AP classes and maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0. A “Graduation Diploma” is awarded to those who have successfully completed fewer than three AP courses.
Our graduates gain admission to fine colleges and universities world wide, with large numbers choosing further study in the U.S. and Thailand. A significant number of our graduates choose to study in Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, and China.
