The students of PreK A celebrated autumn during the last week of October. They learned about the changing of the seasons, harvest time, as well as different holidays celebrated during this time of year. Ms. Psaira brought in pumpkins for the students to observe, draw, and even paint.

All CMIS staff took the ATK COVID test yesterday in preparation for the opening of campus. We are happy to report that everyone tested negative for Covid-19. We are disappointed that the return to school has been delayed and look forward to when we can all be on campus together again!

This week in the CMIS Highschool Sculpture class, we held our critique for our final Cardboard Mask designs on Google Meet. Each student conceptually designed their mask and had to use only hot glue and recycled cardboard to produce their sculptures. While we unfortunately couldn't meet in person to critique, we had a great experience working around our online limitations! Great work Sculpture students!

Grade 2 has been learning about liquids and how a liquid will always go to the bottom of the container it is in. Before starting our bottle flip competition we tested the viscosity of different liquids to determine which liquid would be best for bottle flipping. Between oil, starch and water, the students determined water had the lowest viscosity and would be the best liquid for our competition. The students loved the challenge!
- Ms. Shannon

Grade 5 students tested different solids to see what would happen when they came in contact with heat. This experiment is designed to expand a student's understanding of melting versus dissolving. Previously, students dissolved a solid with a liquid; this time, they melted solids with heat. - Mrs. Ridgley

KG

We worked on the letter 'p' in KGA and learned about different things that we can cook in our p-p-pan. We also made 'p' pigs and decorated them with colors, ears, eyes and a nose! - Mr. Chris
Vaccines
We are happy to share that over 200 middle and high school students are now fully vaccinated as they were able to get their second Pfizer vaccine on Thursday! We are so thankful to the Thai Government and the Chiang Mai Municipality for providing our students this opportunity.
