On our second day together, we participated in an interactive activity on Jamboard I called "Art Circle" to lay the foundation for our art explorations this year. Each student was given a designated object that they had place either inside the circle if they considered the object art, outside the circle if they did not think it was art, or on the line, if they thought it depended on context and purpose. After placing the object, they had to explain to all of us their reasoning. Then, there was a 2nd "rebuttal" round where students could move objects and explain why they disagree with the previous positioning.

This week, in Science, we worked with Jamboard to better understand vocabulary words that we used in our investigation last Friday. Students had to work together to color code, sort, and match words, definitions, and pictures.

As part of our wellbeing activities, students are doing Cook-along LIVE sessions with Chef Nikita. This activity encourages students to follow instructions carefully, work practically with their hands and have fun with friends and family in a learning environment. And on top of all that...they are making delicious treats! Last week was Tortilla Pizzas...Aroy Mak!

'Everyday Object Drawing'
Theme: LOVE
In this warm up drawing assignment, students used everyday objects found in their homes and made 'love' themed drawings around those objects. Students were assessed on their drawing skills and made divergent thinking decisions based on the objects they chose. These are a few selected pieces from the project. Students really enjoyed viewing other students work as well as the critique process. The everyday objects and drawings gave the class a small view into everyone's world viewed through the lens of love.
