Health Officer

The Health Officer provides professional services utilizing knowledge and experience in a caring and supporting manner to the students and staff for the promotion of health and well-being. It is a unique position which provides a critical link between the school, students, families, and medical care.

 

Elements of the position include supervising and supporting the school nurse with the medical needs of students and staff; providing knowledgeable and appropriate medical / nursing treatments; developing and maintaining procedures and health policies; maintaining health records; conducting annual health checks on the student body; planning and implementing in consultation with the Student Support team and parents, health management protocols for the student with special health needs; monitoring pollution and disease outbreaks; teaching health promotion and health prevention strategies by writing submissions to the weekly newsletter, giving classes to appropriate groups of students, and making presentations at staff meetings; risk assessment and school campus health safety and First Aid support for after-school activities. Other duties include participating as a member of the Student Support team; acting as liaison between the staff and the cafeteria manager; and instructing in First Aid and management of the triage team.

All applicants must have a Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Public Health or equivalent with experience in the health field. Alumni and Development Officer

CMIS is looking for a dynamic personality and a self-starter as our Alumni and Development Officer. The person in this position is responsible for furthering and maintaining a user-friendly alumni network to connect all former CMIS students, staff, and families. The Officer will also continue to develop opportunities and avenues for fund raising for the school both in Thailand and overseas.


Elements of the position include: tracking down and making contact with former CMIS students, staff, and families electronically; compiling data into usable formats; maintaining the website, including finding and uploading pictures of alumni; writing a quarterly alumni newsletter; monitoring our Facebook page: planning the annual alumni Christmas Event and adding a second event during the summer months. The officer will also plan an annual fund raising drive and seek and apply for appropriate grants. Every other year, this person will also host a CMIS Networking Expo, together with the public relations officer.

 

Prior knowledge or relationship with CMIS as a student, parent, or teacher is preferred. Thai Nationals or non-Thai may apply. Foreign applicants will be employed as a 'local hire'. All applicants must be fluent in English, have a Bachelors Degree, and have excellent writing skills. Foreign applicants should have teaching qualifications in their home country or willingness to obtain Thai teaching certification. This position would be considered part-time for a foreign hire. English as a Second Language/English for Academic Purposes

CMIS is looking for an experienced teacher of English as a Second Language for our elementary ESL/EAP program. The successful candidate will work with the current ESL/EAP teacher to meet the needs of elementary students whose English does not meet the standards of the regular classroom and will work to improve the English skills of students in speaking, reading, writing, and listening. This is a part-time position and the successful candidate will be employed as  a 'local hire'. All applicants must be fluent in English, have a Bachelors Degree, education and experience in teaching English to non-native speaking children,  and should have the appropriate teaching qualifications in their home country or willingness to obtain Thai teaching certification. Network Administrator

CMIS is looking for an experienced network administrator to join the IT department. Successful candidates must be a Thai National, proficient in written and spoken English, and have a minimum of three years experience as a network administrator.
